We take time to understand your garden, how you want to use it, its surroundings, levels, soil and existing features — creating the foundations for a design that truly works for you.

Your ideas are brought to life through either beautifully hand-drawn plans or detailed computer-generated designs, depending on your preference and the needs of your garden.

We select materials that complement your home and surroundings, with a particular appreciation for natural stone, timber and the character of the Yorkshire landscape.

Thoughtful planting brings the garden to life, combining structure, colour, texture and seasonal interest to create a garden that develops beautifully over time.

AI can create a beautiful garden image in seconds. But a beautiful image isn’t the same as a garden that can actually be built. Plus who knows what budget you’d need to make it.

At Thyme 2, our designs are backed by 30 years of practical landscaping experience. We consider the things a computer can’t see from a photograph — levels, drainage, access, soil, aspect, existing features, materials, construction and, importantly, your budget.

We also spend time understanding how you want to use your garden. Whether that’s somewhere for the family, a low-maintenance space, better entertaining areas, more privacy or simply making much better use of what you already have.

We may use technology as part of the design process, but it doesn’t replace experience, judgement or a conversation.

AI can show you what a garden might look like. We know how to make it work in real life.
